Focus Your Weaponry

There comes a time in every character's story where they must choose where their strengths lie. Make your first major Rusty Hearts decision by choosing a weapon focus.

As characters progress through their storyline they will pick up or purchase new weapons along the way. As they continue to level, weapons will continue to get stronger and faster. With this increase in weapon quality skills and abilities need to be stepped up to take full advantage of the increased weapon attributes.

Each character reaches a point where they need to choose what they want to specialize in. Rusty Hearts’ characters will need to decide their weapon mastery and where they want to allocate their skills. Currently there are two focuses available for every character class, each providing unique attacks and benefits. While some specialize in crowd control with low attack damage, others may focus on precision with massive impact. Whatever the focus is, it’s imperative to choose wisely. Once a Focus is chosen it will be retained for the life of that character.

When a character hits level 20 they will have their opportunity to choose their weapon path. This process will initiate for every Rusty Hearts character when they complete a specific quest for their skill trainer. Each character’s skill trainer is unique; therefore this milestone will depend on their individual quest.

After hitting level 20 and completing Nadia’s “Mysterious Letter” quest, characters will be directed to a skill trainer for their next quest. Each skill trainer will have a specific task ready for them to initiate their Focus process. The initial phase of Focus selection starts with choosing a Focus. Once a path is chosen, the selection process won’t be finished just yet. Each character will continue to visit their skill trainer until they have completed their Focus training. This process culminates for each Focus with a “Trust [Skill Trainer]” quest. Once completed, this finalizes the weapon Focus choice. Characters will now be ready to learn unique weapon skills and crush enemies even faster than ever.

When characters have chosen a Focus and complete the next quest from their skill trainer, they will then be able to reset their skill points to accommodate their new found Focus. This is extremely important and highly beneficial as this is the only time this option is given unless a Skill Reset item is purchased from the Rusty Hearts cash shop. A weapon Focus skill reset gives players the perfect opportunity to hone abilities and allocate skill points to best fit the newly selected Focus.

Completion of the required Focus change quests will open up a variety of new skills specific to a chosen weapon. Not only will a desired weapon have new skills, they will have additional buffs and perks associated with them. In addition to new skills, weapon focusing also gives characters access to new blows to follow up their basic attack.

Choosing a Focus is one of the most important elements of Rusty Hearts; this process separates the Pros from the beginners and is the first major milestone a character will encounter. Get leveling and pick a weapon focus today!
