Valentine’s Day Fan Art Results! – Free Action MMORPG

The holiday fan art event was an epic success; we received so many fantastic sketches, illustrations, photoshops, comics and more. We thought we had seen the peak potential from our players, but we were wrong. This Valentine’s Day event brought more creativity and intensity than ever seen before in our forums. As one of our most popular threads ever, the Valentine’s Day contest saw almost 1,000 replies and over 50,000 page views. To say the Valentine’s Day event was a success would be an understatement.
Past and present Rusty Hearts’ fans came out and demonstrated a tremendous outpouring of love and creativity in the forums. We went page by page and found the best submissions and wanted to reciprocate the love, because that’s what Valentine’s Day is all about. Unfortunately we couldn’t limit ourselves to just 1 winner per prize. The amount of work that was put in was so astounding that we wanted to honor as many players as possible.
We’ve put together a quick list of all the winners and the work they submitted. Check out the amazing art and head over to the thread where you can see more fantastic submissions.

To all that keeps on complaining about their submission, it's not about the "coolness" and "perfection"... It's about the thought/theme of the artwork :) To all that keeps complaining again and again, this is for u: t('-'t) ...... Honest question...didn't the details of the contest ask participants to make the art to look more like screenshots than not?...Or was that a different contest...that being addressed, beautiful work all 8D

I believe you might be referring to the Holiday Photochop contest. And it never said people should made a screenshot of it.

Thank you bcuzfucu for your support and thank you unfezant for your honest opinion. Its just a shame perfect world and summations cannot realise this? Hand on heart, my drawing may not be to everyone's taste and I should bite my lip and move on. I just cant get my head round it....I have lost all faith in perfect world and i will write a blog about this and let other game companies know whats happened.

they stopped me posting for a while due to my comments...and if my work did not look like Roselle? thats because i changed her hair style which many cannot do! her uniform! which many cannot do!! and simply my art as a whole! was different to all those typical repetitive drawings you see posted! apart from Puhipushi, which is actually very good!

I see what you mean there, but in my opinion, it isn't really that smart of a move to drastically change a costume. The character should stay recognizable, after all. But yeah, that'd difficult to do. I liked your style though!

I agree that it should be placed but they probably looked at it and thought that it looked nothing like Roselle/Frantz or even resembles them. At least that is what I thought when I looked at it.

I understand where stonecloud is coming from. His or her work was impressive! and i do believe that he/she mentioned back in the previous statement his/her work was mainly focusing on Roselle. The frustration part for me was the fact he/she had to question why they did not get the prize? Seeing other peoples remarks towards stonecloud is quite childish. I do agree though, he or she should of been given a second chance for some reward. Final note: Dont suck up to Summations smoothninja, makes you look stupid.

I understand people being disappointed they didn't win, but it's not like it was the last chance ever. I also do understand people found my entry extremely mediocre. Just don't start demoralizing people who can't help being the winners, okay?

summations, I'd like a good explanation to why my entry was not considered carefully enough? Having looked at some of the winners art work, you make me laugh! I feel as if its all fixed! personally based on years of experience and from the public's comments from other forums. My work should of been submitted as 1st 2nd or 3rd prize entry. I'd like you and your team of experts? to re consider my art work! its an insult for starters and secondly I find your taste in winning entries a sad excuse for art. Very simple, this event was ragged. summations had the winner before event end. Check the thread. I did report this to PWE support.

Just because you entered doesn't mean you'll automatically win. Also for your starter comment, think about this. There's a contest to draw a heart. One person draws a 1 minute outline, and another person spends 1 hour drawing a heart that's nicely shaded and perfect. Who do you think will win? There were also LOTS of submissions to choose from.

cant win them all. i felt the same way but i sayed to myself ide have a chance next time and i had fun doing the contest. wining about it to the gamemaster and bashing others art because you lost is NOT going to make him change his mind.
